Swirl Reef (21m)

So called because of the “footprint” visible on the surface of the water after a swell has passed through. The reef is virtually formed like a crater with a hollow in the centre and many swimthroughs accessible from the inside, especially the northwest and southeast sections of the reef. The most awesome swimthrough is accessable only from the outside and is again on the northwest side, with a huge cavernous opening at seabed level.

City of York Outer Reef (10m)

This site was rediscovered on our 2018 Rottnest Holiday, and has quickly become a favourite of many. It is a maze of overhangs, tunnels, swim-throughs and holes to explore – filled with fish life and colour. The City of York wreck is also accessible from this site, if you don’t mind a short swim.
