Whether you’ve logged heaps of dives, joined us for trips and events, or just popped along for a yarn, we’re glad you’re part of the club. Enjoy a safe, happy, and slightly salty Christmas, and we’ll see you in the New Year for more adventures, more laughs, and plenty more time underwater. Dive safe, eat well, and don’t forget to rinse your gear. Dive Report - Sunday 21st December
Photo credit - CJ Smith With 10 divers onboard, two of which were nominees (Peter and Jonathon) welcome aboard, the Cape Cruiser set off for Rotto. With the weather looking favorable, it was decided with general consensus and Jono's approval to change the dive site location. Instead of Parker Point, we headed out to the West End with the first dive at Dew Fish Middle and the second at Cray Fish Gully, with maximum depths of 22 and 18m respectively. Both great dives. However, sadly for the cray enthusiasts, there were no real crays to speak of. Sorry Jono, you will just have to think of something else for the Christmas dinner table. On the return home, with the wind picking up and changing direction to the southwest, it made for a bit of a bumpy sail home. Lastly, a thanks must go out to Mathew Endo for his donation of a case of Coke Zero's and Diet Cokes to the boat, Renata for the delicious gingerbread men biscuits, and lastly the off-duty crew members onboard enabling Jono and myself to sneak in a surface interval dive. Great day had by all. Marcus Dowling RSVP for our Sundowner, January 10th
