The Winter Social Report

It was cold, wet and dark that evening, but it didn’t deter members from coming together to enjoy another Winter get-together.

There were a few late apologies. Hope you are feeling better, Dennis and Erin, and I am so sorry you couldn’t find parking Alison. We missed you all.

Despite this, everyone had a great evening, with many an energetic conversation about diving and travels to keep everyone entertained.

Dolphin Scuba were also in attendance prior to their Palau trip, so there were cross-over moments for some of our members. The food was hearty and welcoming, and the heating had been cranked up, so it was deliciously warm too.

There was an opportunity to rerun the UEC 70-year history video for those who had missed it at the AGM, and a copy of the club's timeline from its inception till today was also available for perusal.

It was lovely to hear so many compliments.

Thank you to all those who attended and supported this event, so glad you all enjoyed yourselves.

Happy dive travels too Kathleen and Sebastian…….of course we aren’t jealous, no, not one bit………ha ha ha.

Containers for Change

Did you know the Underwater Explorers Club is registered with Containers for Change? Simply swap your payment method to 'donate' when recycling your cans and bottles, and search for Underwater Explorers Club of Western Australia Inc. or use our member number C10320909. 

Important Information for Dive Bookings

Please do not book dives for other divers. If we receive double bookings from one diver, the second booking will be automatically cancelled.

If you would like to receive notifications about dive cancellations during peak periods, please email divebookings@uecwa.com.au with your name and phone number to be added to the WhatsApp group.

Guests on the Boat
A reminder: For all boat trips (including Christmas lights), UEC members must be on the boat with any guests booked under their membership.

Cancelling a Dive Ahead of Time

Important to note that you cannot cancel dives using the dive calendar. Cancellation needs to be made by email directly to divebookings@uecwa.com.au

Please note our cancellation policy below as per the club bylaws:

Cancellations between 07:45 and 16:00 the day before: 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellations after 16:00 the day before: 100% cancellation fee.

No-shows: Full event fee.

Appeals for waivers due to medical reasons or family emergencies can be submitted in writing to the committee.
