The weather gods were with us, promising some good weather, and it didn’t let us down.

We left the Coogee Marina on time with seven eager divers on board, including our Nom Diver Sylvain Lyonnet. Welcome to the club mate. The seas were OK with a little bit of swell as we reached our scheduled first dive site, Parker Point. Skip Jono decided it would be favourable to head to Crystal Palace as the seas were calmer. He wasn’t wrong!

Dive 1 Crystal Palace

Seven divers jumped into the water, Marie on her first Solo expedition as a newly awarded Solo Diver (congratulations). Skip Jono and DO Trev were envious, as the vis looked great from the surface.

The divers resurfaced after their 60mins dive. All reported that the dive conditions were fantastic. Marie bagged 4 crays with Matthew bagging 1. The only thing that was disappointing was that Marie didn’t bring her cooking utensils, and we were all made to eat our own lunch 😊

After the surface interval was completed, we headed far away (metres) to our next site Crystal cave.

Dive two Crystal Cave

All divers jumped into the drink again to eagerly explore the great conditions and visibility. Divers all used the 60mins dive and again resurfaced with smiles all round. Marie again bagged another 4 crays and Matthew with two more. Pretty sure I heard someone saying they spotted a Port Jackson Shark.

We pulled the anchor and headed back to shore and put Cape Cruiser to bed.

Important Information for Dive Bookings

• Please do not book dives for other divers. If we receive double bookings from one diver, the second booking will be automatically cancelled.
• If you would like to receive notifications about dive cancellations, please email divebookings@uecwa.com.au with your name and phone number to be added to the WhatsApp group.
• Important to note that you cannot cancel dives using the dive calendar. Cancellation needs to be made by email directly to divebookings@uecwa.com.au

Please note our cancellation policy below as per the club bylaws:

Cancellations between 07:45 and 16:00 the day before: 50% cancellation fee.

Cancellations after 16:00 the day before: 100% cancellation fee.

No-shows: Full event fee.

If you have any questions, please check out our FAQ's, Contact Us or chat with your Committee members when you see us on the boat! All current club members are welcome to attend monthly committee meetings.
